Job Description: Software Developer/Analyst, Nottingham, U.K.

Position Level:Senior, Middle, Junior

Required Education

• B.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc Chemistry, Ph.D. Chemistry

Required Development Skills:

• Experience with XML and related technologies (eg XPath, XSLT)
• Experience of Java (or similar OO language)
• Strong development background using current technologies

Required Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to learn new things quickly
• Excellent teaming and communication skills
• Ability to manage and respond to changes in priorities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Service Center, Quality Center, Data warehouse and project experience
• An understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Clearcase UCM, MarkLogic, XMLSpy, Eclipse, MapForce
• Direct implementation experience with XQuery language and programming
• Experience developing Mark Logic platform
• Direct implementation experience building large enterprise databases in MarkLogic
• PERL, Unix ShellScript, RDBMS, SQL
• Experience with iterative development software development methodology (i.e. RUP)
